We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to help us scale product quality by building reliable automated testing frameworks and improving release confidence across our web and mobile platforms.

About the Position

Title: QA Automation Engineer

Location: Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City
Department: Engineering 
Reports to: Engineering Lead


What You'll Do

Test Automation

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications.

  • Build automated regression suites to support frequent product releases.

  • Create reusable test components and testing utilities.

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Analyze test results and troubleshoot failures.

Quality Engineering

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.

  • Participate in requirement reviews and identify quality risks early.

  • Drive shift-left testing practices within development teams.

  • Ensure adequate test coverage for critical business workflows.

API & Backend Testing

  • Develop and maintain API automation tests.

  • Validate integrations with third-party systems including payment gateways and external services.

  • Perform database validation and data integrity testing.

  • Support performance and reliability testing initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Improve test execution speed, reliability, and maintainability.

  • Define quality metrics and reporting dashboards.

  • Mentor engineers on automation best practices.

  • Contribute to quality standards across the engineering organization.

What We're Looking For

Must Have

  • 4+ years of experience in software testing.

  • 2+ years of hands-on test automation experience.

  • Strong programming skills in at least one language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#.

  • Experience with automation frameworks such as:

  • Experience testing REST APIs.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines.

  • Experience working in Agile product teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience testing mobile applications using:

  • Experience with AWS or cloud-native applications.

  • Knowledge of performance testing tools such as k6.

  • Experience with SaaS products and multi-tenant platforms.

  • Experience in EdTech, HRTech, or FinTech products.

Preferred Technical Stack

The ideal candidate has experience with:

  • Playwright + TypeScript

  • API testing using Postman/Newman or custom frameworks

  • SQL and database validation

  • Git-based development workflows

  • CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins

Within your first 6 months:

  • Build and maintain automated regression coverage for critical LittleLives workflows.

  • Reduce manual testing effort for every release.

  • Increase release confidence and reduce production defects.

  • Establish automation standards and best practices across teams.

  • Become a trusted partner to Product and Engineering teams.
